About the Thomas Jefferson Foundation The Thomas Jefferson Foundation has a twofold mission of preservation and education, and was incorporated in 1923 to preserve Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Custodian (Full-Time, Day Shift) The Thomas Jefferson Foundation is seeking enthusiastic applicants who are passionate about providing our guests with a positive experience. *$1,000 sign-on bonus! * We are looking to fill the following shift:
Custodians will perform consistent cleaning and sanitizing services at an assigned location and will occasionally perform duties in other locations throughout the property to support special projects and events. Custodians must be prepared to spend a significant amount of time outdoors, in all weather conditions, and walk uphill and on uneven terrain as we are located on a mountain. Custodians are considered frontline staff at Monticello and will interact with our guests throughout the day, so exemplary customer service skills are essential. This is an independent role, so successful applicants will be able to take initiative and have excellent time management skills. No experience required. Satisfactory work record and driver's license required. Compensation: $16.50 per hour Skills & Abilities
