Title: Custodian

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Length: 12 month

Job Goal: Perform general labor inside and outside the physical building.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required):

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all functions require for Custodial daily task
• Performs various maintenance tasks such as minor electrical and plumbing repairs, etc.
• Performs general labor inside and outside the physical building as assigned, including district wide groundskeeping, handling materials and supplies, moving equipment, operating power-driven equipment, truck driving, snow plowing, roofing and mowing, etc.
• Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment

Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; hear and understand speech at normal levels; physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds; to bend, to stoop, to sit on the floor, to climb stairs, to walk and to reach overhead. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to students/parents.
