PRIMARY FUNCTION
Performs general daily custodial duties, including cleaning restroom toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, and fixtures. Stall walls, mirrors, and empty trash cans are also cleaned. Ensuring that toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and hand sanitizer is filled at all times. Sweeping and mopping of floors, including classrooms, cafeteria, and hallways, meeting rooms, vacuuming carpeted areas, and all glass doors, lighting fixtures, dusting, and finished surfaces and trim.
Experience in floor maintenance is required. Keep sidewalks free of debris. Inspect all restroom dispensers to ensure they are working properly.
QUALIFICATION
Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record. Completion of a high school education or GED is also required. Black slip-resistant work shoes are necessary. Knowledge and/or experience with the commercial cleaning process is preferred. Knowledge or ability to quickly learn tools and procedures of facilities and grounds cleaning and maintenance tasks is also required. Physical strength and agility are necessary to perform some heavy lifting and periodic outdoor work with sufficient mobility and dexterity. Ability to work independently and as a member of the custodial team and follow through on routine tasks. Must be able to read and write and follow oral and written instructions.
