Your Mission:

As a Facilities Support Co-op for Keel Midwest, you will be responsible for assisting staff with the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility and other miscellaneous general labor tasks. This entry-level role is designed for Michigan high-school students seeking hands-on experience in an industrial environment while learning basic shop support functions.

Requirements

Explore the Depth of the Role:

• General labor duties as assigned.
• Cleaning walls, floors, equipment and other areas of the facility.
• Restocking cleaning supplies and maintaining janitorial closest in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Disposing of waste, sanitation of facilities, and other related areas of the facilities and ground duties as assigned.

Mission Readiness:

• Must be a current high school student.
• Must obtain and maintain a Michigan work permit issued through the school district.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Commitment to scheduled hours that align with school attendance requirements.
• Participation in facility safety training and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Must comply with Michigan youth employment regulations regarding hours and duties.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and organized with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel between facilities as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
• May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
