Salary: starting at $15 / hour
Job Summary
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment throughout the education building.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning of all bathrooms daily (wipe down the toilet, etc., sweep and mop bathroom), including the replacement of supplies, when necessary.
- Sweep and mop floors throughout the building daily.
- Wash interior and exterior windows throughout the building monthly.
- Clean tables/chairs in the dining room after each meal. Sweep, mop, and remove trash from large and small cafeteria after lunch is over.
- Order special requisition supplies, as needed by communicating with the supervisor or secretary about what is needed.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of supplies. And stock closet as necessary.
- Follows a daily cleaning schedule.
- Daily trash removal from building and outside trash receptacles.
- Vacuum all carpets and entrance mats daily.
- Maintain immediate outside surrounding areas free of paper, and debris daily.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma, preferred.
- Related experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
