This position will be at Pulaski High School. Monday thru Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Non-school days & summer hours will be 7:00am to 3:30pm. This is a 12 month position, 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day.

Job Goal:

Pulaski Community School District's Custodian - School Job Goal is to maintain the school building and grounds in a condition of operating excellence.

Essential Job Functions:

Must be able to arrive at work promptly, attend regularly, work under the stress of deadlines and reach to change productively.

Perform job functions in an ethical manner as defined by the Pulaski Community School District.

Maintain a high level of courtesy and contribute positively to maintaining a pleasant work environment.

Communicate effectively with the supervisor, co-workers, other staff, parents and students.

Follow safety procedures and monitor the work environment for safety concerns.

Perform job functions in a productive and efficient manner.

Accept responsibility for all custodial equipment and supplies.

Responsible for the general security and fire safety of the building.

Move, load, unload, and set up furniture, equipment and other items.

Pick up and dispose of garbage and recycling material.

Clean all areas as assigned.

Deliver mail and other items as assigned.

Unclog drains, urinals and toilets using a plunger or similar device.

Turn off valves or electric service to stabilize problems.

Complete minor repairs of furniture, doors, vacuum cleaners and lockers.

Log and report all problems or concerns using electronic forms. Promptly notify the Facilities Supervisor or Facilities Director of problems that require immediate attention.

Stock and maintain supply rooms in an orderly manner.

Use an aerial lift where applicable. (MUST BE CERTIFIED TO OPERATE)

Assist all maintenance, grounds, food service and custodial personnel as directed.

Maintain the school grounds including snow removal in entrances and sidewalks adjacent to the building. Keep sidewalks free of ice, pick up debris and sweep entrances.

Perform related duties as directed by the Facilities Supervisor or Facilities Director or his/her designee.
