Description
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the YMCA facility. This position supports the YMCA mission by ensuring all areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained for members, staff, and guests.
Requirements
- Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, fitness areas, offices, classrooms, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty trash throughout the facility
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, and high-touch surfaces
- Set up and take down rooms for programs, events, and activities
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and restroom products
- Perform routine building checks to identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as assigned
- Follow YMCA safety procedures and cleaning standards
- Ensure facility is secure during opening or closing shifts
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to members and guests
