JOB TITLE: Custodian/Light Maintenance Technician REPORTS TO Facilities Manager/Supervisor LOCATION On-site in Ontario, NY EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time Hourly Full-time, hourly employees are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Overtime, evenings, and weekends may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of their position and meet business and operational demands. The standard workweek is Monday through Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm. POSITION SUMMARY The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness of the OptiPro facility. The Custodian maintains stock of cleaning supplies for the facility. The Light Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure buildings, equipment, and facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Duties include inspecting equipment, replacing light bulbs, replacing HVAC filters, repairing doors and locks, painting, basic plumbing and electrical repairs, assembling furniture, and responding to maintenance requests. The technician conducts preventative maintenance, maintains tools and supplies, follows safety procedures, and reports major repair needs to supervisors or specialized contractors. This role requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
