About the Role:
Powerhouse Gym in Linden, NJ is looking for a dedicated and reliable Custodian to help keep our facility clean, safe, and welcoming for every member who walks through our doors. If you take pride in your work and love being part of a high-energy environment, we want to hear from you!



Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize gym equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas throughout the facility
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all flooring surfaces on a regular schedule
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning products as needed
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
• Ensure the facility meets health and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist with light facility setup and breakdown for events or equipment rearrangement

Requirements:

• Prior custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented work ethic
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• Strong sense of professionalism and a positive, team-player attitude\
• This will be a weekend position with the possibility to work more hours covering for other employees as needed
