QUALIFICATION S:

OVERVIcEW :

Applicant

must

have

the

basic

knowledge

of

general

maintenance

work

and

be

able

to

move

furniture,

operate

power

cleaning

machinery,

power

lawn

mowers

and

make

minor

repairs

Prior

work

record

must

demonstrate

good

working

habits,

excellent

attendance

record

and

supervision.

Prior

experience

working

in

the

capacity

of

school-based

custodial

work

is

preferred

but

not

mandatory

Minimum

of

a

High

School

diploma

or

equivalent

is

necessary.

Major

Responsibilities

Include :

Responsible

for

work

assignments

in

the

operation,

care,

preservation

and

maintenance

of

the

school/building,

its

equipment

and

the

grounds

adjoining

the

building.

Responsible

for

the

daily

maintenance

of

offices/rooms,

break

rooms,

lavatories,

etc.,

as

assigned

by

the

Day

Engineer

or

Supervisor

of

Buildings

and

Grounds.

Other

duties

as

assigned.
