POSITION
OPENING:
Custodian
(Multiple
Positions)
IN
THIS
ROLE:
We're
looking
for
an
energetic
team
player
to
help
keep
our
learning
environment
safe,
clean,
and
welcoming!
You'll
work
alongside
our
custodial
team
to
sweep,
mop,
vacuum,
dust,
and
polish
throughout
the
building.
In
addition,
you
will
maintain
restrooms,
sanitize
surfaces,
clean
windows
inside
and
out,
and
support
with
painting,
snow
removal,
and
proper
waste
disposal.
You'll
also
help
ensure
building
security
and
assist
with
locking
up
at
the
end
of
each
shift.

our

by
setting
up
for
exciting
school
activities,
assisting
with
catering,
and
relocating
furniture.
You
will
also
help
safeguard
our
campus
by
maintaining
building
security,
safely
managing
equipment,
removing
snow
alongside
maintenance,
and
promptly
reporting
safety
conditions.

WHAT
YOU
NEED:
High
school
diploma
or
equivalent.
One
or
more
years
of
relevant
experience.
Valid
Michigan
driver's
license
and
reliable
transportation.
Ability
to
continuously
stand/walk/bend/reach/stoop/kneel/crouch/lift,
climb
ladders,
lift
and
transport
heavy
items
up
to
30
pounds,
and
properly
operate
tools/equipment
necessary
to
perform
required
repairs.
Work
involves
regular
exposure
to
cleaning
solutions
and
disinfectants
as
well
as
exposure
to
dust,
dirt,
tight
spaces,
offensive
odors,
dampness,
hazards
from
electrical/mechanical/power
equipment,
adverse
weather
conditions,
etc.
when
performing
maintenance
and
repair
work.

$19.00
hourly
based
on
relevant
prior
work
experience,
with
the
potential
to
earn
up
to
$21.54
after
employment
with
Oakland
Schools.
