Responsibilities

The duties for this position include:

• clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• gather and empty trash.
• remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
• requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment or buildings such as replacing light bulbs, or minor painting.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a previous work history that includes:

• excellent attendance

• stong attention to detail
• able to operate janitorial equipment properly and safely
• ability to maintain equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
• able to complete tasks within a deadline
