Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian @ La Posada to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, guests, and associates. In this role, you will ensure community spaces are well-maintained and sanitary while delivering friendly, service-oriented support that enhances the overall resident experience. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 7am - 3:30pm
Pay range: $15.00/ hr - $18.00/hr

What You’ll Do

• Clean and maintain community spaces including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, offices, elevators, and other common areas
• Perform floor care duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, spot cleaning, and polishing
• Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork
• Empty trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Service and restock restrooms to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Assist with cleaning resident apartments as needed
• Safely move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required
• Set up and break down spaces for community events and meetings
• Follow proper procedures for use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and storage areas in an organized and safe manner
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items to the appropriate supervisor
• Assist residents with requests or direct them to the appropriate team member
• Monitor residents’ well-being in a general way and report any concerns promptly
• Work collaboratively with team members across departments
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards
• Support efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

 

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Positive attitude and customer-service mindset

 

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
