Custodian - Part-time

The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is seeking an energetic and friendly part-time Custodian to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our school facilities, contributing directly to the health and safety of our educational environment.

The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is located in Southeast Wisconsin and serves approximately 450 students in the Trevor and Wilmot communities from grades 4K through 8th grade. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting and trash removal from classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, offices and common areas.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
• Assist with setup for school events by moving furniture or equipment as required.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, painting and landscaping work.
• Support the overall upkeep of the school's exterior grounds.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the facilities manager promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a custodial or facility maintenance role is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of manual and power tools for basic plumbing, painting, landscaping and electrical tasks
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness
• General computer knowledge
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good communication skills for interacting with staff, students and community members
• Prolonged periods of standing, or walking required
• Must be physically able to climb ladders and bend
• Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
• Physical strength and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Hours: This is a part-time year round position. The work days are Monday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during school days. There is shift flexibility on non-student days and during the summer. Occasional weekend hours may be necessary with advanced notice.

Job Type: Part-time year-round

Pay: $16.24 per hour, compensation may increase with relevant experience and qualifications
