Custodian - Second Shift

The Role: Responsibilities include:

• Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout the assigned school building.
• Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash and perform other general building-cleaning duties.
• Set up and clean up for school activities and building events as assigned.
• Assist with general building and grounds maintenance and special projects as needed.
• Assist with snow and ice removal around doorways, overhangs and adjacent areas.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors.
• Perform other related custodial duties as assigned by the Head Custodian, Principal or designee. The contract specifically provides for custodial cleaning, building and grounds maintenance, event setup/cleanup and certain snow-removal responsibilities.

For FY27, beginning July 1, 2026, the custodian rate is $24.09/hour, plus a $0.75/hour second-shift differential. Custodians are considered essential personnel and may be required to report during weather-related school closings or emergencies.
