Custodian - Substitute

Pay Range: $15.00/hour

The Beaver Dam Unified School District seeks a custodian substitute to fill in for employees who are unable to report to work on a given day. Hours are flexible and vary.

The custodian substitute performs a wide variety of manual to semi-skilled custodial, maintenance, and routine repair duties for Beaver Dam Unified School District. The work is performed under the supervision of the District Facilities and Safety Officer and general direction of the building Principal.

Applicants for the position should possess the following minimum qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent with one year of custodial work experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Must be able and willing to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to operate machinery in a safe manner.

Ability to handle various chemicals and compounds in a safe manner.

Demonstration of being reliable and dependable based upon attendance and punctuality.

Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate professionalism.

Ability to work and complete tasks without direct supervision.

Ability to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter.

Previous experience with custodial or maintenance desired.

Must be willing and flexible to rotate weekend coverage.
