Position Location:

This position will be located onsite in Washington, DC.

Job Overview:

Under direction of the Custodian Site Supervisor, will provide general supervision of custodial maintenance and operation of all facilities at FBI WFO. Will perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities. Keep Custodian Site Supervisor appraised of unique situations and problems encountered. Lead, organize and review the quality of work of subordinates.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintain adequate levels of sanitation chemicals, tools, equipment, and disposable supplies for all facilities at FBI WFO.
  • Provide Custodian Site Supervisor with updated supply order forms for custodial supply procurement.
  • Prepare used wet mop heads, rags, and dust mop heads for weekly exchange with uniform vendor if needed.
  • Breakdown depleted cardboard boxes for proper disposal.
  • Responsible for/to sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors and equipment.
  • Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Wash windows, mirrors, and walls.
  • Wash tables and chairs as required.
  • Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
  • Move and arrange furniture and equipment for cleaning and replace when completed.
  • Replace lights and adjust shades and blinds.
  • Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
  • Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all mishaps related to all work performed.
  • Inspect and diagnose problems to determine corrective actions/repairs.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping practices are strictly observed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Custodian Site Supervisor.
Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • General knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • At least 2 years Janitorial experience.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • High school graduate or ‘’equivalent”.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen • Valid state driver’s license with Acceptable driving record (must provide current driving record).
  • Ability to obtain FBI Clearance.
