Custodian

Location: Uvalde/Leakey

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across all agency facilities. This role performs routine cleaning, maintenance, and inspections to ensure buildings and grounds meet health, safety, and operational standards. The Custodian may work independently or as part of a team and will support general facility upkeep, minor repairs, and event setup as needed.

Requirements Required:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including intermittent sitting, kneeling, bending, walking, climbing, lifting, and standing
• Must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments

Qualifications Required:

• Must have reliable transportation to travel between assigned locations
• Must possess a valid Class C Texas driver's license and current proof of liability insurance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least one (1) year of related custodial, maintenance, or janitorial experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
