Overview
To maintain facility and grounds for proper operations, safety and appearance.
Responsibilities
- Clean all areas of facility.• Remove trash from areas of the facility and be an active part of thecompanies recycling program.• Remove snow from sidewalks/parking areas as required in winter.• Maintain operating conditions of the buildings.• Mow, trim and maintain lawn as required.• Assist material control.• Assure building security.• Responsible for responding to after hours emergency calls.• Ability to accommodate changing shift requirements.• Perform routine maintenance as directed by the maintenance manager.• Assist in general maintenance/repair work.• Paint, strip, wax, buff floors.
- Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiency.• Perform limited computer functions.• Identify and report possible preventative and corrective actions.• Works independently and as a team member, referring questions and problems to the department manager.• Confidential access to new and existing product designs and plans.• Responsible for compliance to company''s Quality Policy Manual.• Responsible for compliance to company''s safety policies.
Qualifications
- Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug test.• Ability to read, write and understand documentation, and equipment manuals.• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills.
- Good judgment, interpersonal and organizational skills.• Detail-oriented.• Good written and verbal communications.• Capable of operating motorized equipment.• Ability to get along with others.
Physical Requirements:
- Good visual acuity.• Good manual dexterity.• Ability to routinely lift up to 65 pounds.• Majority of day spent in clean, climate controlled areas requiring use of safety glasses and/or other Personal Protective Equipment.
- Seasonal demands require exposure to cold for snow removal and heat for mowing and lawn care.• Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in manufacturing of products.
