As a team we are committed inspired and connected to make a difference in the community.  What You Will DoAs a Custodian you will use your experience to perform essential custodial duties. Your expertise will impact the condition of County facilities through the sanitizing and cleaning of all areas within a building including collecting trash. The Grounds Manager will rely on you to aid in creating a safe and sanitary environment for employees and visitors. Essential Duties
  • Assure that buildings are clean sanitary safe and orderly. Tasks include cleaning lavatories mopping vacuuming dusting and using industrial powered equipment to clean and wax floors.
  • Pick up litter empty trash cans and put trash in dumpster.
  • Replace deodorizers toilet tissue hand towels and soap.
  • Apply salt to prevent icy conditions and shovel snow at building entrances during inclement weather events.
  • Assure that walkways and exits are kept clear. Note potential maintenance issues and report to supervisor for scheduling repairs.
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment.
  • Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.

  • A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
