Nature of Work
This is a semi-skilled position in the Environmental Services Division of the Public Works Department responsible for clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility. Work involves manual labor in performing cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties in a hybrid office/industrial setting. This role supports plant operations by ensuring work areas, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces meet cleanliness and safety standards. Work is performed under general supervision and is coordinated with contractual cleaning services as necessary.
Work schedule - The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with some flexibility. This position is not eligible for remote work.
Pay - The 2025 starting rate of pay is $24.13 per hour with advancement to $31.31 per hour. Once a new contract is executed, the 2026 rate will be available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience performing janitorial, custodial and/or building maintenance work.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
