Mountainside School District Beechwood School, 1497 Woodacres Drive, Mountainside, New Jersey 07092 Deerfield School, 302 Central Avenue, Mountainside, New Jersey 07092 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR Posting Date - August 17, 2026 Positions: Custodians (2)- full time night shift Start Dates: 1. August 21, 2026 2. November 1, 2026 Schedule: Mon-Fri 3:30-11:30 pm Qualifications: Duties and requireme nts include but are not limited to the following: Criminal background check required Health Physical required and pass a Mantoux Tuberculin test Cleaning of school building and grounds including classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, common areas using proper safety protocols with regard to chemicals and sanitary guidelines Property maintenance: mowing lawns, maintaining sports fields, snow removal on walkways. Set-up/clean-up furniture and equipment for school activities Ability to take direction, work as a group, or independently , without continual supervision Demonstrates strength and manual dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral work related directions and instructions Valid NJ Driver 's License Black Seal License NOT required Additional compensation offered for available overtime and for the right candidate with additional maintenance skills. Tasks may include: plumbing work, painting, flooring repair , electrical repairs and HVAC maintenance. _____ Salary: Per MEA Agreement - competitive salary starting at $43,807 and benefits package including health/dental/vision, NJ PERS Pension, and local union membership.
