    Description

At Frontier Cooperative, we believe agriculture is more than a business, it's a way of life. As an agricultural leader serving Nebraska's farming communities, we provide a comprehensive range of grain, agronomy, feed, and energy products and services. But what sets us apart is how we do it: with integrity, with quality, and with a deep commitment to the communities we're proud to call home. We're looking for people who share those values and want to grow with us.

    What you'll do:

    Field application

    • Operate constant flow sprayers, variable rate applicators, and dry spreaders safely and efficiently
    • Apply pre- and post-emergent chemicals, insecticides, lime, and dry and liquid fertilizers to producer fields
    • Evaluate product labels to ensure proper application rates and usage
    • Maneuver sprayer into proper position on producer's land while avoiding damage to property
    • Prevent chemical spills; clean up any spillage immediately and report issues to supervisor

    Product loading & coordination

    • Prepare sprayer for loading and verify product arrives in good condition
    • Collaborate with commercial truck drivers operating tender trucks to receive chemicals or fertilizers in the field
    • Activate auto shutoffs, assist connecting transfer hoses, and operate transfer systems to fill sprayer tanks
    • Disconnect and secure hoses and tanks upon completion of transfer

    Equipment maintenance

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sprayers and dry spreaders
    • Change oil and filters; replace lights, belts, wiper blades, and grease fittings
    • Clean chemical tanks with appropriate cleaning agents after each use
    • Keep sprayers clean inside and out to ensure proper mechanical operation and a positive company image

    Safety & compliance

    • Follow all company safety standards and comply with OSHA, state, and federal regulations
    • Maintain CDL license and endorsements and commercial chemical applicator's license
    • Attend educational workshops and review technical publications to stay current in the field

    What we are looking for:

    • Valid operator's license and Commercial Chemical Applicator's license required
    • CDL Class A or B with HazMat and Tanker endorsements required (or obtainable within 90 days)
    • Ability to operate constant and variable rate sprayers, dry spreaders, anhydrous stations, and nurse tanks
