A Day in the Shop
Interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics to plan your build approach.
Assemble and integrate frames, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys with precision alignment.
Wire and terminate motors, sensors, control panels, and basic machine controls.
Drill, tap, ream, cut, and modify parts as needed to meet tight fit and finish requirements.
Operate hand tools and power tools, plus drill presses, saws, and grinders safely and efficiently.
Verify accuracy using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues encountered during assembly.
Keep quality and safe work practices front and center throughout every build.
What You Bring
2+ years in machine building, industrial equipment assembly, automation, or related manufacturing.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to independently read mechanical blueprints and follow electrical schematics.
