Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java Spring Boot Microservices and React/Angular development, along with exposure to AI-enabled applications and modern software engineering practices.

Rate Range: $36/hour to $38/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Build and enhance modern user interfaces using React and/or Angular frameworks.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to analyze, define, and implement application requirements.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, and cloud-native application components.

• Support application enhancements, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and performance optimization activities.

• Provide technical expertise and oversight for Java-based application development initiatives.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, architecture discussions, and software design activities.

• Contribute to AI-enabled solutions and modern application development practices to support evolving business needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot Microservices.

• 3+ years of experience with React and/or Angular development.

• Strong understanding of:

• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

• RESTful APIs

• Microservices Architecture

• Software Design Patterns

• Enterprise Application Development

• Experience working within Agile software development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI-enabled applications, platforms, or solutions.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise application portfolios.

• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
