Custom Software Engineer

Title: Custom Software Engineer
Location: Richfield, MN Hybrid
Duration: 5+ Months of Contract

Must-Have:
GCP
Bigquery
Python

Nice to have:
Cloud - AWS
Kafka

Responsibilities:
8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related software engineering discipline
5+ years of hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery, including query optimization, data modeling, and cost management
4+ years of experience with Python for data pipeline development and automation
4+ years of experience with Google Cloud Dataflow (Apache Beam) for batch and streaming data pipelines
Experience with GCP data ecosystem tools (Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Composer/Airflow)
Familiarity with Vertex AI for ML pipeline integration
Fluent in Test Driven Development
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with additional Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Cloud Build)
Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices
