Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development, along with expertise in building scalable enterprise applications, microservices, and cloud-enabled solutions.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Develop responsive front-end user interfaces utilizing React.

• Implement and integrate business process workflows using Camunda.

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Develop and maintain UI automation solutions using Cypress.

• Execute performance and load testing activities utilizing JMeter.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, Architects, and DevOps teams in Agile delivery environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while enhancing system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering degree required.

• 8+ years of experience with: Java Development, Spring Boot, Enterprise Application Development

• Strong expertise in: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, Software Design & Development

• Experience with: React, Camunda, Cypress, JMeter, Agile Methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms including:

• AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure.

• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native application development.

• Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems and enterprise applications.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
