Customer Account Specialist II (OPS)
The City of Tallahassee is seeking Customer Account Specialists to join our team. In this role you will serve as a first point of contact for City customers, providing accurate information and resolving concerns with professionalism and care.
This is a single opportunity with two service areas. Based on your strengths and the needs of the City, you may be assigned to the area that best fits your skills.
Utility Contact and Walk-In Representative
This position operates in a fast-paced, analytical, and technology-driven environment, well suited to strong problem-solvers who perform well in a structured, high-volume call center.
What You'll Do:
Transportation Specialist
This position operates in a dynamic, active, and community-centered environment, well suited to engaging communicators who enjoy variety and dividing their time between phone support and in-person public interaction.
What You'll Do:
Regardless of assignment, you will provide accurate information, resolve concerns with professionalism, and ensure every interaction reflects the Citys commitment to excellent service.
Minimum Training & Experience
Possession of a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
or
Possession of a have a High School diploma or GED.
and
Four (4) years of staff, administrative, or professional experience that includes credit and collections, utility billing, utility accounts systems, or customer service.
Necessary Special Requirements
Individuals in this classification are considered essential during emergencies and storm events. They must be available to work extended shifts (12 hours or longer) for prolonged periods and may need to remain away from their families during the duration of the emergency event.
Salary Range
$18.6982 to $50.7388/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $27.5329/hour.
