Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Customer Authentication Engineer III to join the Authentication Core Team supporting digital authentication, identity orchestration, and customer onboarding initiatives across enterprise digital platforms. Summary: This team focuses on enhancing secure authentication experiences using modern identity technologies and cloud-based authentication solutions within an Agile development environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and enhance enterprise authentication and identity platforms
  • Develop and troubleshoot authentication integrations and workflows
  • Support authentication orchestration initiatives using platforms such as Okta
  • Improve customer onboarding and account authentication experiences
  • Partner with engineering, security, and application teams on authentication initiatives
  • Analyze and resolve authentication-related production issues

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering, authentication engineering, or related experience
Strong experience with:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OIDC
  • SAML/SAML 2.0
  • JWT
  • MFA/SSO
  • Experience with authentication and identity management platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in Agile environments
Preferred Experience:
  • Java preferred (Python acceptable)
  • Experience with Okta or similar identity orchestration platforms
  • Familiarity with FIDO/WebAuthn and risk-based authentication
  • AWS and/or Azure experience
  • Banking or financial services background preferred
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
