Customer Service Representative

Position Overview

We're seeking friendly, dependable Customer Service Representatives to join a growing customer support team in East Hartford, CT. In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for customers, assisting with program information, account support, password resets, and general inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers calling with questions about program services and accounts.

  • Provide professional, courteous support over the phone.

  • Assist customers with password resets and online portal access.

  • Accurately document customer interactions in the call tracking system.

  • Research customer inquiries and provide accurate information.

  • Escalate calls to leadership or appropriate agencies when necessary.

  • Handle customer complaints following established procedures.

  • Identify trends in customer concerns and communicate findings to leadership.

  • Meet performance goals for quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and call handling.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in every customer interaction.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 6 months of call center experience, OR

  • Associate degree (or higher) in place of call center experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

  • Comfortable working with multiple computer applications simultaneously.

  • Ability to navigate systems while speaking with customers.

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional when assisting frustrated customers.

  • Passion for helping people and delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must successfully pass a 30 WPM typing test.

  • Must successfully complete a Customer Service Assessment.

  • Must pass a criminal background check.

  • Must pass an 8-panel drug screen.

  • Must be able to work onsite in East Hartford, CT.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday

  • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Full-Time (40 hours per week)

  • No weekends
