Core Functions of the Customer Care Specialist
- Welcome customers at outreach sites and guide them through eligibility for wireless tablets and data services in an approachable manner.
- Demonstrate device features in simple terms, helping residents understand how tablets support health appointments, job platforms, and daily communication.
- Ensure enrollment forms are completed accurately and respectfully, maintaining trust and program integrity.
- Provide in‑person troubleshooting to help customers activate their device and feel comfortable navigating basic functions.
- Support daily sales outreach logistics to expand digital‑access efforts throughout San Diego.
- Share sales insights with Customer Care Specialists during team meetings to refine service delivery and strengthen customer care practices.
Education & Experience for the Customer Care Specialist
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in sales or customer care is a plus, but not required.
- Comfort demonstrating basic device functions in a friendly, easy‑to‑understand way.
- Strong organizational habits for managing sales materials and simple device inventory.
