Position: Customer Demand Manager

Location: Nashua, NH

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Customer Demand Manager to join our High Speed Backplane team located in Nashua, NH.

The Customer Demand Manager reports to the Product Management team and is responsible for managing customer demand across the HSBP portfolio. This role owns key demand management activities, including demand forecasting, backlog analysis, order trend monitoring, and alignment of customer requirements with internal capacity planning. The Customer Demand Manager works closely with customers, Sales, Product Line Managers, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve forecast accuracy, identify demand trends, and support inventory, capacity, and production planning. This position provides data-driven insights into changes in customer demand, highlights potential risks and opportunities, and helps ensure that business and operational plans are aligned with customer requirements.

The role is critical to improving demand visibility, supporting customer satisfaction, and maximizing revenue and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and manage customer demand planning activities, including forecasting, backlog analysis, order trend monitoring, and customer demand reviews.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate customer forecasts, purchase orders, backlog data, and other demand inputs.
  • Analyze historical demand, customer forecasts, booking patterns, and market trends to develop accurate demand projections.
  • Improve forecast accuracy by identifying forecast bias, demand variability, and gaps between customer forecasts and actual orders.
  • Maintain demand planning databases, reports, and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across systems.
  • Align customer demand forecasts with internal supply, inventory, and production capacity.
  • Partner with Operations teams to support capacity planning, material planning, inventory management, and production prioritization.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities related to demand fluctuations, supply constraints, customer order patterns, and market changes.
  • Facilitate regular demand reviews with Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Support the development of short-, medium-, and long-term demand plans for the HSBP portfolio.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support customer commitments, inventory decisions, capacity investments, and business planning.
  • Work with Sales and customer-facing teams to clarify demand assumptions and resolve discrepancies in customer forecasts.
  • Track and report key demand management metrics, including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, backlog trends, order intake, and demand-versus-supply gaps.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to demand planning processes, reporting tools, data quality, and cross-functional communication.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, customer demand management, supply chain, product management, operations planning, or financial analysis.
  • Experience in connectors, electronics, manufacturing, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis, forecasting tools, ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, or demand planning software is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data-management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data-driven insights, risks, and recommendations.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Product Management, Sales, Operations, Finance, and customer-facing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing customer demand and business requirements.
