Group/Division

The KLA Services team consists of Service Sales, Marketing, Spares Supply Chain Management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, Digital Solutions and Analytics, and Technical Product Support. Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers' KLA assets – with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes.

BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.

ResponsibilitiesThe Applications Development Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing product applications for existing and pre-release products to provide maximum value to the customers.The candidate is expected to support the following:

• Focus on projects related to new product introduction such as characterization, alpha testing, beta testing and pilot tools in the ramp phase.
• Support the development of BBP system at the customer site.
• Perform product diagnosis, problem resolution, interface with software and systems engineering to verify that hardware and software problems have been resolved.
• Conduct customer product demonstrations and technical training including on-site training of customer and end users.
• Document all test results and lessons learned in BKMs (Best Known Methods), training documents, Demo reports, or, Alpha/Beta test reports and transfer product knowledge to Field Applications teams.
• Generate demo and test reports for internal and customer review.
• Travel to customer sites and headquarters for training on an annual basis will be required.

Ideal Candidate

Modern FinFet semiconductor processing, result in unique challenges for the litho/etch module.

The ideal candidate needs to be able to identify and understand the FinFet process flow and these issues that arise and their resultant behavior.  Understand where the critical inspection points are and how to monitor for these issues in the future. Past/present semiconductor processing experience will be an advantage in understanding the key customer challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate must have BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related fields and strong technical background.
• Preferred work experiences in semiconductor processing or equipment industry.
• Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Candidate must also be self-driven, and a strong team player.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years

Total Rewards

Base Pay Range: $78,200.00 - $114,667.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-AZ-Chandler-KLA
