We are dedicated to providing our customers with a seamless and enjoyable buying and servicing process, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Salesperson / Customer Enthusiasm Ambassador in the service drive.
Position Overview: As a Salesperson / Customer Enthusiasm Ambassador in the service drive, you will play a vital role in creating positive, lasting impressions for our customers. You will work closely with our service team to ensure that every customer interaction is met with energy, professionalism, and a solution-oriented attitude. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers who visit the service department, identify potential sales opportunities, and provide top-tier service that matches the level of excellence Dave Gill Chevrolet is known for.
This department has been statistically shown to be the highest volume source of sales for Dave Gill which means your role is very vital to the dealership's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers as they arrive in the service drive, provide a warm welcome, and create a positive first impression. Establish a rapport with customers to make them feel valued and appreciated.
- Sales Support: Identify potential sales opportunities from service customers, whether it’s a trade-in, lease, or new vehicle purchase. Provide customers with information about new and pre-owned vehicle inventory and special promotions.
- Customer Education: Answer customer questions about vehicle features, financing options, and service offerings in a friendly, clear, and approachable manner. Assist customers with any inquiries they have about vehicle options that might meet their needs.
- Follow-Up: After initial service visits, follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, introduce new vehicle options that could meet their needs, and offer assistance with any questions related to their current or future purchases.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with service advisors, sales, and finance teams to coordinate efforts and create a seamless experience for the customer, both in service and sales.
- Service to Sales Conversion: Use a consultative sales approach to identify customers interested in upgrading or replacing their vehicles. Track and record customer interactions to ensure sales opportunities are followed up in a timely manner.
- Customer Enthusiasm & Retention: Maintain a high level of enthusiasm and passion for the Dave Gill Chevrolet brand. Ensure customers leave the service drive feeling positive about their experience, whether they are there for maintenance or exploring vehicle options.
- Maintain Knowledge: Stay updated on vehicle models, features, pricing, and current promotions to confidently assist customers and answer their questions.
Qualifications:
- Proven customer service or sales experience (automotive experience is a plus, but not required)
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and positive attitude with a passion for helping others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- Self-motivated with a focus on achieving sales and service goals
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and Chevrolet products preferred but not required
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with full coverage insurance
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
Compensation:
- Days 1-60: $15 per hour
- Subject to Change: After a 30-day evaluation, your compensation structure may be adjusted.
- From Day 61 Onward: $500 per week, plus $200 for each customer referral you bring in.
- If a referral is shared with a peer, the payout will be reduced to $100 per referral.
