Job Summary
Responsible for managing delinquent accounts and recovering outstanding balances through customer communication and negotiated payment arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned portfolio of delinquent accounts
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication
- Negotiate payment plans and resolve outstanding balances
- Document all collection activities per compliance standards
- Provide professional customer service and handle disputes
- Use skip tracing tools to locate hard-to-reach customers
Requirements
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Flexibility to work varying shifts
- Ability to obtain required collections license
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma (some college preferred)
- 0–1 year experience in collections or customer service
- Familiarity with CRM systems and MS Office
- Knowledge of collection laws/regulations
