Since 1975, ONS has served as the professional home for oncology nurses-developing evidence-based education, advancing treatment knowledge, and advocating for improved outcomes for patients with cancer and their families.

The Opportunity

The Customer Relations Representative responds to customer inquiries about accounts, products, courses, or services via telephone, email, web chat or in-person. Processes payments, orders, and membership applications. Updates demographic information in membership software. Serves as the first point of customer service contact.

What You'll Do

  • Resolves product or service problems by

  • Clarifying the customer's complaint

  • Determining the cause of the problem

  • Selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem

  • Expediting the correction or adjustment

  • Following up to ensure resolution

  • Assists customers with inquiries related to products, services, conferences, education courses and memberships

  • Provides technical assistance to users navigating ONS's and affiliate websites

  • Maintains customer records within association membership software (e.g. updates account information)

  • Receives, processes, and reconciles orders from bank lockbox, telephone, fax, and US mail

  • Reconciles financial information for daily and month-end batch balances

  • Processes refunds for conferences, education courses, memberships, and products

  • Assists ONSE's finance department with accounts receivable requests as needed

  • Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Written and oral presentation skills include answering questions from customers and clients.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Full-time, remote (work-from-home) position.

Compensation & Benefits

We use a market-based approach to compensation, considering experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

Anticipated Pay Range: $34,833.00 to $41,800.00 annually
