Customer Service Clerk

We’re hiring a Counter Sales Associate to work directly with walk-in customers at our Landscaping Supply counter. In this role, you’ll help contractors and customers find the right products, process orders, answer questions, and keep the counter organized and stocked.

Pay: $21–$25/hour (based on experience) | Full-time, onsite

What you’ll do

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit transactions efficiently.
• Demonstrate product features to customers, enhancing their understanding and driving upselling opportunities.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote featured products effectively.
• Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries over the phone.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations during transactions.

Basic qualifications

• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Experience in Landscaping Supplies or a similar customer-facing role.
• Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately.
• MUST be bilingual in Spanish/English

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience in supervising team members or leading small groups is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Landscaping products
