This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill Part-Time assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill vacancies as the need arises. Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

  • This position requires flexibility to work at any Del Mar College campus location, and work any shift (morning or afternoon), to provide adequate coverage of office business hours. *

The Customer Service Clerk reports directly to the Assistant Director of Admissions. The purpose of this position is to provide information and guidance regarding the services provided by the Student Enrollment Center to students, faculty, staff, and the public in a professional and customer service oriented manner.

This is accomplished by:

Providing campus and education information.

Responding to general questions with accurate and current information.

Assist with other general activities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year of advanced study or training past the high school diploma/GED equivalency AND six (6) months of related experience.

  • OR -

One (1) year and six (6) months of related experience.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and public.

Preferred Qualifications

Six (6) months experience working in a college setting.

Perform general office functions by SEC kiosk, answering general questions, providing information on SEC activities, departmental location, and contact information.

Assisting staff and students as required.

Provide information and guidance in the areas of services located in the Student Enrollment Center, assists students with general questions, provide directional information of departments and contact information.

Participate and provide support during registration periods at any College campus, center, and outreach event.

Perform other additional duties as assigned.
