Main Purpose of the Role:
The Customer Service import Customs Coordinator will be responsible for all duties associated with US Customs which would include but not limited to monitoring the submission of the customs manifest for errors, assisting with any amendments to the customs manifest, processing any holds or exam request, handling G.O requests and serving as the focal point for any issues pertaining to US Customs.
Main Tasks:
Run daily reports to identify any customs holds and or rejections and handle accordingly
Run daily reports to identify cargo slated for General order and handle accordingly
Daily monitor data on CMS203 (Conditions Attend) and process accordingly
Daily monitor CMS205 (Orphans) and resolve accordingly
Weekly monitor the invoice portal to make sure that all invoices are processed timely.
Monitor the group mailbox for transmission notifications and change requests and handle each accordingly within stated SLA
Keep a running tab of all export vessels’ sail dates so that the export manifest can be submitted to US Customs within their guidelines.
Handle any incoming calls both internally and externally
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Two to four years of related experience and/or; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
