Position Summary
The Program Assistant provides front-line customer service and administrative support. This role handles client inquiries, routes calls, assists with applications, updates records, and provides program status information to applicants and landlords.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service in person, by phone, and via email
- Answer and route multi-line agency phones; take and forward messages
- Assist applicants with program information, waitlist status, and online applications
- Review and process applications; help residents upload documents
- Research client cases and update internal software and tracking logs
- Schedule program appointments and prepare correspondence
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records
- Perform clerical support and other assigned duties
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years of customer service experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain professionalism, and manage deadlines
Working hours are 8 to 5 Monday to Friday.
$20/hr.
Position could become full time with the company.
