    Job Title: Customer Support Engineer
    Location: Boise, ID

    Compensation: 80-90k Plus Bonus

    Join our Service Team as a Customer Support Engineer, where you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Malvern Panalytical's industry-leading analytical instrumentation. Supporting customers across Idaho and the Northwestern United States, you'll serve as a trusted technical partner, ensuring exceptional instrument performance and minimizing downtime.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge scientific instrumentation while building strong customer relationships and collaborating with technical experts across the organization. With significant autonomy and extensive travel throughout the territory, you'll play a critical role in delivering outstanding service and support.


    What You Will Bring to the Role

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical systems, scientific instrumentation, or a related technical field.
    • Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex instrumentation or technical equipment.
    • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
    • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
    • Proficiency with computer-based diagnostic tools and electronic service reporting systems.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (approximately 80%).

    Preferred Experience

    • Laser-based analytical instrumentation experience.
    • Particle characterization, spectroscopy, materials characterization, or related analytical technologies.
    • Previous field service or customer-facing technical support experience.
    • Laboratory, industrial, research, or manufacturing environment experience.
    • Familiarity with ISO quality systems and regulated environments.
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
