QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically handling international accounts.
  • Proven experience with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and/or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office (especially Excel); experience with Automated Export System (AES) filings is a plus. Experience with E2Open or similar system preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as ECoP® (EAR or ITAR) or CUSECO® are highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Order Management: Process complex international orders, verify product availability, lead times, and pricing within ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle).
  • Export Compliance Screening: Conduct and document Denied Party Screenings and embargo checks for all international transactions to ensure compliance with global trade laws.
  • Regulatory Documentation: Prepare and review critical export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and End-User Statements.
  • Classification Support: Assist in determining Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes for manufactured goods.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with production, shipping, and freight forwarders to ensure timely, compliant deliveries and resolve any shipment delays or customs inquiries.
  • Customer Communication: Provide proactive updates on order status, handle technical product inquiries, and resolve customer complaints with professionalism and tact.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate, legally compliant records of all export-related documents and communications in accordance with government regulations (e.g., 15 CFR §762).
