Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary

Young Systems, one of the most established channel distributors in the office technology industry, is seeking a Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Cerritos, CA. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, highly organized, and motivated to build a long-term career within a growing and evolving organization.

The ideal candidate is professional, team-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. In addition to delivering excellent customer service, this person will identify opportunities to recommend additional products and solutions that support customer needs and contribute to sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer calls regarding inventory checks, product availability, and order support
• Enter customer orders accurately into the SAP system
• Provide customers with product information by phone and email
• Respond to customer inquiries in a professional, courteous, and timely manner
• Identify upselling opportunities by recommending relevant products, accessories, or alternative solutions based on customer needs
• Promote available products, specials, and value-added offerings when appropriate
• Maintain accurate records related to customer orders, customer communication, and sales activity
• Work closely with internal departments to support efficient order processing and customer satisfaction
• Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude in all customer and team interactions

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic ten-key proficiency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred

Compensation

Pay Range: $18–$19 per hour, plus bonuses.

Compensation will be based on experience, skills, and overall qualifications.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• This position is primarily performed in an office setting
• Regular use of a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment is required
• Must be able to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift office materials as needed
• May require frequent communication with customers and internal staff throughout the workday
