What You’ll Do:
This position interfaces with customers, sales, and plant personnel on a daily basis to facilitate an efficient, timely, and accurate order-fulfillment process and promote customer satisfaction. This position will receive and enter orders for products and coordinate transportation scheduling functions to ensure a timely and accurate order-fulfillment process. In addition, this position will provide daily administrative and support services, assigned sales analysis, order fulfillment, customer satisfaction, proposal, and quote preparation to achieve the sales and contribution objectives of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsivities:
Routinely field incoming calls, e-mails, and faxes from both internal and external customers. Call subjects include orders, technical questions, pricing issues, customer assistance, etc.
Assist in the creation of pricing quotes, annual pricing documents, and annual pricing entry. Manage distribution of pricing documents to customers, as needed.
Assist with the creation of sales reports & forecasts including various types of graphs, spreadsheets, and diagrams. Maintain meticulous records of all critical information.
Attend sales meetings. Prepare reporting and information prior to meeting. Manage/coordinate information and tasks discussed during meetings.
Create and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all inside and outside sales roles and other relevant procedures to maintain consistent, effective sales efforts.
Participate in training opportunities. Utilize tools learned daily to improve customer service, margin, and company reputation.
Provide customer service and support. Assist customers with questions concerning shipments and status of orders.
Take phone, fax, and email orders for products.
Coordinate with corporate departments (Human Resources, IT, Accounting, etc.) for submit all of forms to ensure all records are accurately submitted.
Work with sales personnel to maximize on-time deliveries and exceed customer expectations.
Coordinate with Corporate Office to authorize the paying of bills to include matching invoices to BOL’s, verifying contract freight bills, generate purchase orders (POs) for all invoices, forward all information to A/P and maintain copies.
Other duties as assigned by the Region Manager and/or Operations Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Solid working knowledge of PC environment including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Fast and accurate data entry skills.
Customer service or sales experience in the construction materials industry preferred.
Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
Analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
Average math skills with working knowledge of percentages.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
College degree preferred with 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Work history and experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
