Customer Service Manager

Customer Service Manager Pay: $19.25/hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a required staff meeting at 8:45 a.m. daily. Weekly schedules may vary based on business needs. 
Penmac Staffing is seeking a motivated Customer Service Manager for a local retail and donation-based store. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced retail professional who enjoys customer service, team leadership, merchandising, and inventory management. The Customer Service Manager will help create a positive shopping experience while supporting the organization's mission and day-to-day retail operations.Requirements for the Customer Service Manager

• 2+ years of retail, warehouse, or store leadership experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate employees and volunteers from diverse backgrounds
• Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Some knowledge of building materials, tools, or construction is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and organizational values

Customer Service Manager Responsibilities

• Supervise floor staff and volunteers during daily operations
• Provide training on operational procedures, customer service, and safety practices
• Deliver outstanding customer service and help maximize customer purchases
• Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and shelves remain stocked
• Monitor inventory levels and provide feedback on sales trends, overstocked items, and high-demand products
• Conduct regular floor walkthroughs to maintain safety, organization, and product presentation standards
• Enforce company policies, including safety procedures and dress code requirements
• Foster a positive and productive work environment focused on accountability and collaboration
• Assist with merchandising strategies that support sales growth
• Provide backup support for cashiering, receiving, and other operational functions as needed
