Position Summary

The Customer Service & Material Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with product selection, project quotes, sales transactions, material orders, deliveries, inventory management, and yard operations. This position works closely with customers, vendors, drivers, and other team members to ensure orders are accurate, materials are properly handled and delivered, and daily operations run efficiently and safely.

The position requires strong attention to detail, product knowledge, communication skills, dependability, and the ability to safely handle and transport building materials. The employee must be able to work effectively in both a customer-facing sales environment and an outdoor lumberyard setting.

This is a full-time position located in Kansas, Il.

Position Requirements

This position is a multi-functional role requiring the employee to successfully perform customer service, sales counter, order processing, material handling, yard, delivery coordination, and delivery driver responsibilities. Employees are expected to work collaboratively across departments and assist wherever needed to ensure customers receive accurate products and exceptional service in a safe and timely manner.

• Individual must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend for the duration of each shift

• Full-time schedule includes a rotation of hours on Saturday’s (Store Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am-5:00pm; Saturday 7:30am-Noon; Closed Sunday)

Compensation details: 16-18 Hourly Wage
