A large logistics company in Metairie is seeking a Logistics - Customer Service Representative to work in one of their departments.

Duties of the Logistics Customer Service Rep include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with processing freight forwarding documentation for export shipments (bills of lading, country of origin, etc.)
  • Answer phone calls and make outbound calls to clients
  • Receive instructions for each assigned client
  • Enter client information into database
  • Work with customs and assist with paperwork regarding cargo
  • Issue instructions for container pickups
  • Coordinate deliveries
  • Receive updates from operations on process of pickups
  • Review invoice information and send to accounting
  • Track and trace other shipments

Requirements of the Logistics Customer Service Rep:

  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or import/export preferred
  • High School Diploma required Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel (will be tested)
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, positive working relationships
