Customer Service Representative

Brief Summary: Customer Service Representatives are responsible for assisting all customer segments including retail, contractor, fabricator and wholesale. You are responsible for providing information about our products including availability, price, applications, limitations, and installation recommendations. You are also responsible for order entry, purchase order (P/O) processing and receiving, and freight quotes. Essential Functions:Greet and assist customers with selections and follow-through on their orders Enter orders, follow-up on back-orders, invoice orders, and follow proper pick-up proceduresReview on-order report dailyAnswer phone inquiries including over the phone ordersResolve customer service issues Process P/Os and receiving for product linesAssist with stock checks, pricing, freight quotes, inventory, and processing ordersDevelop basic understanding of design and colorGain knowledge of all current and new product linesParticipate in weekly branch meetingsOther duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Experience:RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishExcellent computer and phone skillsAbility to follow-through with resolving customer issuesSelf-motivated and proactive, willing to take the extra stepWork cooperatively in team environmentAble to handle regular interruptions to serve the needs of others while maintaining focus on multiple priorities and short and long term deadlinesEstablish and maintain cooperative relationships with customers, maintaining a warm and professional manner with a positive customer relations and customer service mindsetDemonstrate integrity, professionalism, and perseveranceMultitask and prioritize work through effective time managementComply with all safety policies and protocolsPossess a flexible work scheduleDetail-oriented Ability to lift 65 lbs. Preferred1-2 years customer service experience is a plusPrevious experience in the tile industry is a plusPrevious design experience is a plusBi-lingual in Spanish a plus Work Environment:Well-lit, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office and showroom setting with adequate ventilation.
