Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $17–$18 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented person with prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of customer orders while serving as a key liaison between customers and internal departments, including production, scheduling, and shipping.
The ideal candidate understands the pace, terminology, and operational structure of a manufacturing facility and can effectively coordinate order flow to support on-time and accurate production.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage customer orders received via phone, email, and electronic systems
Accurately enter and maintain orders within ERP or order management systems
Coordinate directly with production, scheduling, and shipping departments to ensure timely order fulfillment
Communicate with customers regarding order status, lead times, pricing, and changes
Review and verify pricing, quotes, and invoices for accuracy
Maintain detailed and organized customer records, order files, and documentation
Track active, pending, and completed orders to ensure deadlines are met
Address customer concerns and resolve issues by collaborating with internal teams
Support additional operational tasks such as sample requests, tooling orders, and job transfers
Assist with reporting, including order tracking, production status, and basic financial data
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required
Minimum 1 year of experience in order entry, customer service, or order coordination within a production-based setting
Experience working with ERP systems or manufacturing order systems
Strong understanding of production timelines, lead times, and order flow processes
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and documentation
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across departments and with customers professionally
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or technical training in business, operations, or related field
Experience supporting production scheduling or manufacturing operations
Familiarity with quoting, pricing structures, or industrial products
Work Environment
Office setting within a climate-controlled manufacturing facility
Regular interaction with production and operations teams on the shop floor
Exposure to moderate noise levels and active industrial processes
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and move between office and production areas throughout the day
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
