CUSTOMER SERVICE PROJECT MANAGER - MANUFACTURING

About the Role

The Customer Service Project Manager interacts and maintains contact with existing and prospective customers to identify, verify, and document project needs, expectations, and timelines. This role manages a variety of accounts and projects, assesses procedures within the electronics production process, and maintains an open line of communication with customers. The position also carries responsibilities within the direct manufacturing facility.

Essential Job Functions

Plan, organize, and manage contract manufacturing projects from start to successful completion, including meeting with customers; learn and demonstrate competency in all products and services offered
Develop a strong understanding of delivery capabilities associated with the products and services offered
Initiate contact with clients to begin projects and ensure a smooth onboarding process
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to customers regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress
Develop project timelines, manage deliverables, and communicate progress and setbacks
Ensure all project-related tasks are completed within required timeframes, both externally (by the client) and internally (by various departments)
Escalate issues when necessary to or within the proper department
Create accurate daily/weekly status reports
Track project progress within the project management system
Take ownership and responsibility of projects with a goal of ensuring client satisfaction and success
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Solid background in electronics and/or a manufacturing environment, with significant experience in customer relationship management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish positive working relationships with clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to break down complex problems and pivot quickly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
